To all our Hunting Friends:
Note: 2009 Archery News is in
now,
Here at Bullseye Outfitting, our 2008 rifle elk and deer
hunts have ended, and it’s time to fill you in on what went
on and how things panned out.
To start with the weather was very mild. It snowed just a
few times throughout the season and never accumulated more
than 5” in the high country. The elk that we hunt don’t
migrate, so this mild weather didn’t hinder our success at
all. Along with this newsletter you’ll also find a
photo
gallery of some of the trophies our clients took home this
past season.
We had the same crew on hand once again this fall.
Jerry Eichert and Bob
Kluting, who have
both been with us for quite a few years now, were guiding every
day. These guys are good and are coming into their prime as far as
guides are concerned. They know the country and know how to guide
hunters.
We also
had one new young guide, named Tad Singbell, who
was guiding and packing. Tad grew up here in Trout Creek and has been hunting with his Dad
since he was old enough to tag along. He knows the country which is
the main thing when it comes to guiding here in Trout Creek. Tad
has also hung some really nice trophies on the wall. For a young
man he will be a great addition to Bullseye this falls.
Renna did
the evening meals once again making sure that all went well in the
kitchen. There is nothing like a great home cooked meal after a day
in the mountains.
As for
Ben and Jeff.
Yep we guided most every day, it’s in our blood.
Whether it’s calling in a bull here in archery season or stalking
one in rifle season we still love getting out and being in the
mountains and it keeps us young.
You may
also be wondering about the
animal populations everything
was good for another great fall.
The elk came thru last winter in great shape. As we all know the
more bulls there are in the woods the more action we’ll have while
hunting.
It is apparent that the deer population
is holding firm, whether it be mule deer or whitetail, this is always
a positive thing for us. RThe deer and elk inhabit the same areas
and most of the deer we tag are taken while looking for elk. This
makes for a great combo hunt.
Anyways, it was a good fall of hunting. If you have any
questions, feel free to email or call us anytime. We’ll do our best
to fill you in with as much info as possible.
Thanks!

& Jeff
